Website cost in Serbia 2026: how much does a website cost?

June 12, 2026 ·

A website in Serbia in 2026 costs from €300 for a simple brochure site to €3,000 and up for an online store or a custom web application. Most small and mid-sized companies land between €600 and €1,500. Below is the breakdown by type, what moves the price in either direction, and the costs many quotes leave out.

Prices vary because "a website" covers too many different things. A five-page brochure site and a store with a thousand products, card payments and a warehouse integration are not the same job, even though both are called a website.

Website prices by type (2026)

These are ranges, not fixed line items. The same type of site can sit at the bottom or the top depending on design, page count and integrations.

Type of websiteTypical price
Landing page (single page)€300 - €600
Brochure site (5-10 pages)€600 - €1,500
Site with a CMS (you edit content)€800 - €2,000
Online store€1,500 - €5,000
Custom site / web application€3,000 and up

Landing page: €300 - €600

One page with a clear message, a form and a call to action. Used for a campaign, a single product or a single service. Fastest to build, usually one to two weeks, and easiest to measure because it has one goal.

It makes sense when you are testing an idea or running ads to a specific offer. It does not work as a replacement for a real company site, because there is no room for services, references or the content that brings organic traffic.

Brochure site: €600 - €1,500

The classic company website: home, services, about, references, contact. This is the type most companies actually need. In this range you get a custom design rather than a bought theme, responsiveness on every device, and a proper SEO setup.

The price rises with page count and how much content needs writing. If you already have the copy and photography, the project is both cheaper and faster.

Site with a CMS: €800 - €2,000

The same site as above, plus an admin area where you change text, images and posts yourself without calling a developer for every small edit. Usually WordPress, though not always.

The price difference is the work of setting up and securing that admin area, and training you to use it. Worth it if you change content more than a few times a year. If you do not, you are paying for something you will not use.

Online store: €1,500 - €5,000

Catalogue, cart, payment, delivery and orders. The price depends on the number of products and variants, the payment methods, and whether the store connects to something you already run: a warehouse, accounting or a courier.

Integrations are what usually move the price. A store with fifty products and cash on delivery sits near the bottom. A store with a thousand products, card payments and automatic stock sync sits at the top or past it.

Our packages, timelines and exactly what each one includes are on the e-commerce development page.

Custom site and web application: from €3,000

Anything that is not a standard website: systems with accounts and roles, dashboards, bookings, internal tools, platforms with several types of user. Here you are not paying for page count but for the logic behind the pages.

The price can only be set after a conversation about what the system has to do, because the scope of this kind of work cannot be estimated from a short description.

What does a redesign cost

A redesign usually costs between 60% and 100% of a new site of the same size. That sounds counter-intuitive, but alongside design and build you are also paying for the migration: moving content, preserving the URLs that already bring visitors, and redirecting the ones that change.

The most expensive redesign mistake is losing positions that took years to build. If the new URLs are not redirected from the old ones, search traffic can fall and stay down for months. So before a redesign we always look at what on the existing site already works, so it is not the first casualty.

Is a cheap website worth it

A €150 website is not a scam, but it is almost always a ready-made theme with the text swapped out. For some situations that is perfectly sufficient: a tradesperson who needs an address, a phone number and a few photographs online does not need a custom build.

The problem starts when you expect that site to generate enquiries. A bought theme carries code that was not written for you, it is usually slow, and it is hard to change without help. If the site has to sell, the difference between €150 and €600 pays for itself quickly. If the site just has to exist, do not overpay.

Prices by type of business

In practice prices cluster by what the company does, because the same needs repeat.

  • Trades and on-site services: brochure site €300 - €800, where references, contact details and service areas matter most
  • Hospitality: €400 - €1,000, with a menu, gallery and bookings
  • Selling goods: online store from €1,500, priced by product count and payment methods
  • Professional services (lawyers, agencies, consultants): €800 - €2,000, weighted towards content that brings organic traffic
  • Manufacturing and wholesale: €1,000 - €3,000, often a catalogue with an enquiry form rather than a cart

What moves the price of a website

  • Page count, and whether you write the content or we do
  • Custom design versus a bought off-the-shelf theme
  • Features: store, bookings, payments, user accounts
  • Integrations with systems you already use
  • Number of languages, since multilingual means double the content
  • Deadline: rush work costs more because it displaces other projects
  • How much support you want after launch

Extra costs worth knowing about

The build price usually does not include these annual and monthly costs:

  • Domain: around €10-20 per year
  • Hosting: around €30-80 per year, depending on traffic
  • Maintenance: from €20 per month for updates, backups and security
  • Licences for paid plugins or themes, if any are used
  • Photography and copy, if you do not already have them

What a quote should contain

A one-line quote with a single number is not a quote, it is a guess. A serious quote lets you compare two agencies without speculating, and should contain the following.

  • A list of the pages or screens the price covers
  • Who writes the copy and who sources the photography
  • How many design revisions are included
  • What SEO setup is included and what costs extra
  • A timeline by phase, not just a total
  • The payment schedule, and what happens if the scope changes
  • What happens after launch, and at what price

How to compare two quotes

Quotes for the same website routinely differ by a factor of two, and the difference is often not quality but what is included. Before you compare the numbers, check the following.

  • Whether the design is custom or a bought theme
  • How many design revisions are included
  • Whether SEO setup and speed are part of the job or an extra
  • Who writes the copy and who sources the photography
  • What happens after launch, and what that costs
  • Whether you get access to the code and the accounts, or stay tied to the agency

What does a website cost at Father of Web?

Our packages start at €300 for a brochure site, €600 for a site with custom design and a CMS, and from €1,200 for an online store. Prices are indicative until we see the scope, but they do not change after we agree: the quote you get is the price you pay.

SEO setup and responsiveness are included in every package, not charged as extras. Domain and hosting are not included because they go in your name, so the site stays yours even if we stopped working together.

Price is not everything

The cheapest quote is expensive if the site has to be rebuilt in a year. The most expensive is not automatically the best. What you are really paying for is the time of someone who understands what they are building, and that shows in the questions they ask before they send a price.

If a quote arrives without a single question about your business, that is information in itself.

Frequently asked questions about website cost

What is the cheapest a website can cost?

From €300 for a simple landing page or a small brochure site. Below that you are usually looking at a ready-made theme with the text swapped out, which is a legitimate option if you just need to exist online, but do not expect it to generate enquiries.

Is WordPress cheaper than a custom build?

For a standard company site, yes: WordPress is usually cheaper and faster because not everything is built from scratch. For a system with its own logic, accounts and integrations, WordPress can end up more expensive, because every exception is solved with a plugin that then has to be maintained.

Does the price include hosting and a domain?

Not with us. The domain and hosting go in your name and you pay for them directly, roughly €40-100 a year in total. That is deliberate: it keeps the site and the accounts yours regardless of who maintains it later.

How much does monthly maintenance cost?

From €20 a month for updates, backups and security monitoring. Maintenance is optional, but a site that goes a year without updates gets both slower and more vulnerable.

Do I pay everything up front?

No. The normal arrangement is two or three instalments tied to phases: a deposit at the start, part after the design is approved, and the remainder before launch. The exact split is agreed before we begin.

How long does a website take at that price?

A brochure site usually takes 1-2 weeks, a CMS site 2-4 weeks, an online store 4-8 weeks, and a custom system longer depending on scope. In practice the biggest delays are not technical: they are waiting on copy and photographs.
